Logitech presented its most sophisticated gaming steering wheel ever - the Logitech G25 Racing Wheel - providing users with the most realistic virtual racing experience.
A member of the company’s extreme-performance G-series family of peripheral equipment for virtual racers, the Logitech G25 has the innovative features which, up till now, could be found only in specialized or custom-made racing simulators that cost thousands of bucks.
These great features comprise a 6-speed gated shifter and clutch lever, two high-torque force feedback engines, an 11-inch wheel, and a full 9000 of turning round. The racing wheel, speed selector and pedals are made from first-class stuff such as stainless steel and natural leather, delivering the look and feel of parts from a Ferrari racecar cockpit.
According to Logitech Co., these premium features offer a new level of control. One can quickly shift into any gear as you slow down going into turns and accelerate out of them. High-level driving techniques such as heel-and-toe downshifting are provided by the included clutch pedal.
The G25 is compatible with the PC and Sony PlayStation 2, though the list of games that support the full features of the device is restricted at the moment, but it will work with all games that support even simple steering wheels. Logitech Co. is promising that more games are being developed which will put to good use the 6-speed transmission, and currently rFactor and Live for Speed are your greatest games on the PC.
For PC and PlayStation 2 games that don’t support the 6-speed shifting mode, racers can switch the transmission into subsequent shifting mode, which is supported by most driving games. The gadget can also be used with any PlayStation 2 game that is compatible with other Logitech force-feedback racing wheels, including the Logitech Driving Force and Logitech Driving Force Pro.
